Honestly, it is the one free electronic badge that you can give away to people in the site, that DA has introduced in order to addict people into the idea of collecting e-badges, because all of the other ones cost money. You just click the Give button in the top right corner of a person's page, and you'll see that Llamas are free to give, but everything else costs money or Points (which essentially is money). So yeah, addictive free collectible to get people used to the idea of wanting to collect e-objects. I only just started DA like a month ago, so it was already there when I started. My friend had to tell me what they were though, 'cause I was like, "What's with all this llama business???" Haha.
